About the first one-quarter of the book is an explanation of the traditional dances and how to interpret the rhythm and chords idiomatically. The remainder of the book is a collection of tunes, old and new. Many of the arrangements are within reach of a novice player (mostly single-note right hand melodies.) Make the ornaments and bass part as complicated as you like using the guidance at the beginning of the book and your own taste.
