Are you a composer or arranger? Do you wish you could concentrate on your creative process, and spend less time worrying about preparing your sheet music for publication and bringing it to market? Accordion to Hoyle can help!

Sheet music for violin and accordion
The first page of a recent arrangement of Charles Griffes's The Lake at Evening for solo violin and accordion

As a performer, I appreciate the value of clearly readable, well-laid-out parts. As a composer, I want to make it easy for other musicians to get a taste of my music. This is why, back in 2018, I got serious about mastering Lilypond, a music engraving system devoted to producing the highest-quality sheet music possible.

In the fall of 2021 I developed extensions to Lilypond to make it easy to both engrave and play back accordion music. In 2022, I made extensions to both Lilypond and LaTeX to facilitate publishing instructional material for accordion, combining music, fingering diagrams, text, and pictures.

Whether you write music for accordion or any other instrument, I'd be happy to work with you to make it look as good as possible. Send an email or reach out on Whatsapp and tell me how I can help. I can prepare PDFs for you under contract to publish as you choose, or discuss being your publisher. Accordion to Hoyle is an ASCAP-affiliated publisher.

Beginning in winter 2024–2025, Accordion to Hoyle plans to offer printed copies up to 9½ x 13″ (24x33 cm) size, single sheets, saddle-stiched, or comb/spiral bound. As of August 2024, we can provide you with PDFs or with paper music on letter- or A4-sized paper.

Browse the original music section of this site to see examples of the music we've already prepared for publication.
