Accordion repairs

Inside an accordion
Taking out the reed blocks

Is your accordion not playing as well as it used to? Does it use too much air? Does one reed not speak clearly? Heaven forbid, do you hear something rattling around loose inside it?

Or perhaps you just have a few notes that are a little bit out of tune? Bring it in, and I'll be happy to have a peek inside and give you a free estimate!

Don't trust your accordion to just anyone. Accordion to Hoyle owner Gordon Bower is a graduate of the prestigious Accordion Craft Academy in Castelfidardo, Italy, the accordion-manufacturing capital of the world, and he goes back to Italy annually to enhance his skills by looking over the shoulders of the Italian master craftsmen.

Note that it is usually not possible to diagnose the problem and give you an estimate over the phone or based only on looking at photos. Call us, email us, or send a Whatsapp message to schedule an appointment.

If you live in the Pacific Northwest, it may be possible for me to meet you in person at your location to pick up or return an instrument that needs serviced. I travel frequently throughout BC, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming, as well as Montana.

If you bought a new instrument from us that requires warranty service but you live too far away to hand-deliver your instrument, it may be possible for me to refer you to a quality repairman in your area rather than have you ship your instrument to me or back to the factory in Italy.

Register switches
This is what's underneath the register switches above your keyboard. Fixing a sticky switch, or changing the function of a switch, means taking the switch mechanism apart.
